The seven sisters

I have just finished my accolade about each of the seven sisters. The story of these happy and loving aunts of mine extends beyond ou towns and province even to other countries of the world. Their unique personalities make the relationship beautiful and fun oftentimes a subject of jokes and laughter among us cousins when we get together.
Coming from Pangasinan, the seven sisters led by their father, migrated to Palawan with a hope of a better future. After the war, the Japanese left their place destitute and it was that time that the then president offered free house and lot with a year’s ration of food in the province of Palawan. My grandfather thought it was a great opportunity knowing he had nothing to offer his daughters.
A couple of the seven sisters were already married and have had kids but there was nothing to separate each from the other. So along with sons-in-law and grandkids, the whole family of Augustine Zulueta set forth for their journey to Palawan, otherwise known as the land of promise.
Throughout the years the seven sisters have struggled to give their children a better future. Now, we are all proud to be of our humble beginning and how far we have gone through the help of God. As a sign or a loving and united family, the seven sisters and their family are reuniting every year on Christmas day hosted by each one from the eldest to the youngest. Although not every single member comes but those who are able make it a point to join this annual event where we celebrate together as a family and to make sure we stay closed to each other.
